DRAFT, pending legal review
These cannot be listed. Every listing passes an automatic word screen before it goes live (every text field of the lot), every seller attests each lot, and anyone can report a lot. No automatic screen catches everything: report anything that gets through.

- Data-bearing devices without a wipe attestationComputers, drives and phones can hold other people's personal data. Computers, drives and phones are allowed with the seller’s wipe attestation.
- Payment requests outside PayPal Goods & Services or the seller's checkoutZelle, wire, crypto, gift cards, "friends and family", Cash App, Venmo, money orders and cash by mail are the classic fraud routes and carry no buyer protection.
- Bankruptcy, court or trustee wordingOnly a trustee or receiver whose order document we reviewed may describe a sale this way. The lot then says exactly what was reviewed and that it was not confirmed with the court.
- Going-out-of-business wordingMany cities and states regulate "going out of business" sales. Allowed only with the seller’s attestation that local rules are met.
- Claims that goods come from a company on the wireNaming a product brand is fine. Saying a lot comes from a company that appears on the filings wire is not: a filing is not a sale, and no filer is a seller here.
Recalls
Selling a recalled product is against federal law. Before listing children’s products, sleep products or appliances, check cpsc.gov/Recalls. Lots in those groups are queued for a recall check by the site.
Reporting
“Report this lot” is on every lot page, and needs no account. Three reports from separate, unconnected verified accounts hide a lot until the seller edits it and the site reviews it; every report is reviewed during regular maintenance. You can also reach us through the contact page.
